The week of Monday, Feb. 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation expects to begin a sidewalk project in Neodesha. Project activity includes constructing sidewalks with ADA ramps, curb and gutter, signs and pavement markings.

 Construction will take place at the following locations:

• Ohio Street, from 8^th Street to 2^nd Street.
• 8^th Street, from Ohio Street to the alley at 252 South 8^th St.
• 8^th Street, from City Hall to Fir Street.
• Fir Street, from 8^th Street to 4^th Street.
• 6^th Street, from Tank Street to Granby Street.

 KDOT awarded Heck & Wicker Inc., of Parsons the $634,114 construction contract. The work should have no significant impacts on traffic. Weather permitting, the project will be finished by late May.
