Home MenuWork Zone Safety
KDOT is dedicated to promoting safety in and around construction zones and encouraging practices that protect workers and the traveling public. Construction and maintenance crews work hard to maintain Kansas roads, but their jobs can be dangerous. Motorists need to use caution, follow posted speed limits and pay attention to orange signs and cones when driving through work zones to avoid putting themselves and others at risk.
KDOT provides resources, information, and campaigns to raise awareness about the risks in work zones and promote safety for pedestrians, motorists and workers.
