The Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Program provides flexible federal funding to preserve and improve the condition and performance of federal-aid highways; construction or rehabilitation of a bridge or tunnel on a public road; pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure; and transit capital projects. Funding is limited to construction and construction engineering (inspection) work phases.
