KDOT hosted an open house-style public meeting about future improvements to East Kellogg in Wichita and Andover. KDOT is looking at improvements to East Kellogg in two phases:

1. From I-35/K-96 in east Wichita through 159th Street in Andover
2. From east of 159th Street to east of Prairie Creek Road in Andover

The public meeting covered both phases and attendees heard more about the need for the project, what options are being considered and the project timeline. Attendees had an opportunity to talk with the project team and provide feedback. The public was invited to submit comments May 26 through June 9.

To comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), FHWA, in cooperation with KDOT, is initiating an Environmental Assessment for the complete project (phases one and two). This meeting served as public scoping during the NEPA process.
