The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin work along a section of K-9 in Centralia today, Nov. 19, conditions permitting. The project consists of curb, gutter and storm sewer improvements between 3rd Street and 6th Street.

Traffic impacts should be minimal with most project activity taking place along the roadway’s shoulder. Occasional lane closures may occur in the area. Flaggers will direct traffic when necessary.

Work will take place Monday through Friday during daylight hours and is expected to be complete in April 2025.

Ebert Construction Co., of Wamego, is the contractor on the $1 million project.
